Sadism

Sexual sadism is the infliction of physical or psychological suffering on another person for the purpose of sexual arousal and orgasm. The sadist takes pleasure in inflicting pain, humiliation, degradation, cruelty, or watching others do such things to others. The opposite term is masochism. In the BDSM community, sadomasochistic practices are common. In BDSM, the consent and comfort of both partners is generally valued, and play often begins with setting limits and warning words to ensure the safety and integrity of both participants.
